Greetings Measekit,

In the tests I have seen with our Ultima paper the results were impressive.
If you want to test the Kodak paper using the suggested settings we offer, I
will be glad to send you a few samples that you can test. I am quite sure
you will find that the prints will be very good. The IP3000 is in the list
of printers Kodak has tested. One question that is key, are you using Canon
inks. If not, then the suggestions may not work well. Our tests were done
with Canon ink.

If you will go to the following URL

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuer...Canon+iP3000&pq-locale=en_US&_requestid=34464

or better yet, visit the Kodak web site at

http://www.kodak.com/go/inkjet.

On that page look to the left to see the link for printer settings. When
that page opens, simply select the iP3000 which is listed. You will find a
full set of references for that printer that will yield great results as
long as you are using Canon ink, and the identified paper. My offer of a few
sample sheets stands.

Talk to you soon, Measekit.

I'm the one that had the problem. I was using Canon OEM ink and after a
few photos the issue seems to be resolved. The results using the
Premium Picture Paper are just fine, and ditto for the 4x6 equivalent.
I have recently switched over to a third party MIS ink and results are
identical and the savings costs extremely substantial and encourgaging
me to use more of your paper!

Thanks for the input. My first camera was a Kodak Signet, made back in
mid-50s. It was a stunning camera that had a German lens and,
unfortunately, was stolen in a Chicago train station. When Kodak
stopped making good 35mm cameras I went away, and even stopped using
your films. My only experience in the last 30 years or so is with your
picture paper, and I am happy it works well with my printer(s). You're
also producing some fine digital cameras and if I ever tire of Olympus
I may switch over, though I am very happy with the Kodak sensor in my
E-300.

Greetings,

Sorry for the mixup.

I am going to guess that you have a clogged head in the printer. This is
usually overcome by the cleaning feature in most inkjet printers. Glad
to hear that the results are still good with the OM inks. I remember the
Signet, in fact I have one still Signet 50. Case and all. Great camera
and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Still works, I took it to Cape Cod and
other places. My Daughter now teaches in Boston so I get up there on
occasion still.

Yes, Kodak does make good digital cameras. See the WSJ article on
EasyShare and the reviews that came out about Kodak being the leader in
digital cameras. See JDPowers.

Anyway, I am around if you ever need any details or help about Kodak.

Talk to you soon,

Ron Baird

EasyShare is an easy way to part with a lot of money in a hurry.

Canon is the leader in digital camera in almost every category. I would
say that Nikon is 2nd.
