But did you buy that CD ?
I have a different view of what the original message is saying.
In the past I have worked with Microsoft partners like Universities.
They recieve CD's of Operating Systems from MS that contain an inbedded product code,
these are then used to install many copies of the OS on many computers. The site may have 1000 licenses but only one product key, I have worked creating ghost images stored on servers to clone the computers and we would be very protective of the actual CD's, well when you use one of these codes away from the license site thats when you get this type of message. I could be wrong it wouldn't be the first time, but I have heard of students getting their hands on these types of CD's and then having these problems.
If your CD is legal, G-man then forget every thing I just said
