USB 250GB drive and WinME

But in my case I did not need to install anything with my usb
HD (seeOP),
my Win ME told me it was"doing things" with a new USB
whatsit, and LO! it was detetected and it did ackle.

So I suppose that the drivers were part of WinME,
and not part of Freecom,
( I did not need to load any stuff from its bundled CD. )

So, I presume that I go with Rod's original reply that, as my
explorer sees a 232GB that all is well and I need not worry
my little brain cell any further ??

Anyone demur ??

In short :
Good enough !

The longer version :
Good enough to store loadsa MP3 (and to play them from it),
to free up space on my internal 40GB hdd,
to archive, to backup and to transfer stuff to and from a
USB2/WinXP machine at a different location.
and it _did_not_cost_much_more_ than a 40GB drive !
and this USB 1.1/WinME machine will be upgraded
one of these days.

and,
will that do to be going on with ???

You need to first read the parts that you snip.
Every comment I made time and again is about IDE/SATA inter-
nal/directly connected drives (through IDE/SATA controllers).

As for FAT32, that is an OS issue, not a driver issue.
