Sorry, it bounced back. So I wasn't successful in trying to un-modify!
I have run out of suggestions as to how the response from a NG got
through.
Why not get a free email address to use in NG's? Hotmail? Yahoo? Gmail?

Kath

I did not "undo" your 'hidden' address. I just did a little bit of
snooping around using the hints you yourself provided.

Did not even need to look at headers of your postings.

Are you saying "khkay" is modified (one or two letters are wrong) or no part
or alphabetic character contained therein matches your real E-Mail name. If
I were convinced it was only slightly modified, I would start by removing
the "h", then kh, etc. Working with only five characters, It would not take
long to crack it. If nothing at all matches the real, then you make it about
impossible to crack with the human mind.

Thanks Kath,
Yes, I will have to do some changes concerning e-mail address.
Thanks again for your suggestions.
With best regards,

Alright Eugene, I give up. Now please, please, please let me know as to how
to rectify this *unacceptable* situation (I am on my knees typing this
message). You are obviously the *right person* to provide advise as how to
install an "anti-snooping" device!!! I am at a loss as to which hints I
provided?? You may wish to mail me directly :-).

Hi Gene,
Well, I am amazed to say the least! Now, why would somebody go through all
the trouble to "undo" my e-mail address? Okay, it has been suggested by
other news group readers that somebody "just wants to convey a *thank-you*
message", they don't come any better!!
Anyway, another news group member 'cracked' my *code* and I hope he will
provide me with appropriate counter measures.
By the way, my e-mail name consists of 10 characters containing all but 1
letter.
Kindest regards,

Hi Peter,
Your are so proper and correct. Keep it up, please.
My personal best regards, and have a *wonderful* day.

You did indeed! Thanks for giving me sleepless nights and stomach ulcers.
Now what? I guess I have to start from the scratch, change the ISP and
ask for a dynamic IP address?
Until now (and since reading Vanguard's dossier), I did not realize that it
was possible undoing 'modified' e-mail addresses. I thought if a computer
program (I think it's called *Sven*) is not able to do so nobody else would.

The ability to pick up mail sent to anyname@domain is usually a function of
your host. When the folks who host my web site set up my e-mail, they asked
me if I wanted to receive (a) any name @ mydomain, or (b) only distinct
names. Also, the numeric IP doesn't matter as long as the domain name is up
and running.
