I set up Windows mail and all the settings are correct, but Yahoo uses
Internet explorer.

Windows Mail works fine when you give it the correct setup information.
Which mail account did you try to set up, Yahoo? Post the complete
error message.

I can send in Yahoo and Google and You Tube. I cann not send in Mail, or any
of my other programs that use Vista mail. Is there a way to make my other
programs to use Yahoo instead of mail. It is too bad because mail is my
favorite program.
does Microsoft pay any attention to these complaints?

:

I too have done and downloaded every thing and I can only send with Pando or
google. For awhile I could send with Yahoo, but that doesn't work either. I
am downloading everything to prepare to reloading
vista. At least this works, so far.

OK I'm finally out of ideas and would love some help here. Windows mail again
is saying I've unsent messages in the outbox and it will not send them. I've
set up new email account, downloaded utility from Steve and Gary, Deleted all
outbox messages and still nothing happening! Ideas solutions, please
Karen

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Fw: [JustForFunForYou] double-trouble-cats28.jpg',
Account: 'email', Server: 'smtp.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
I also ran the wizard and set up a second default and that did not help
either. Any other suggestions?

Your settings are correct.
"Unexpected termination" is often caused by interference from an antivirus.
Are you using Microsoft OneCare? If so, a recent update to OneCare has
caused that error. To fix it, in Windows Mail:
Click on Tools, Options, Security, Digital IDs. Under the Personal tab
you will see a digital ID. Highlight it and click the Remove button.
Restart Windows Mail and try sending.

If your antivirus is other than OneCare, let us know which one.

Any error message when you try to send?
Did you try the Microsoft fix? ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090 ).
Are you able to delete the messages that get stuck in the Outbox?
Did you delete that account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate the account?

Incidentally, don't turn on Caps Lock. It is frowned on in most newsgroups
and forums.

Well, don't keep the error message a secret. It is the key to correcting
what is wrong. Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it
into a reply here.
