Unable to boot CD-ROM

Yes, my copy is an upgrade version. That's why the caveat on being
bootable.

The OP didn't mention if the one he tried was the upgrade or full version.
I used the full version. Windows XP Professional.

Actually I was referring to the Win98 CD you tried, if that was a bootable
CD. I suggested this on the outside chance that the WinXP disk is damaged.
