TROUBLE WITH ETHERNET BROADBAND ROUTER D-LINK

Hi,
I have installed a new Presario 2100 and connected it to
the d'link router DI-704P. everything was ok untill I
updated (automatically) windows XP.
Now when I start the machine the screen (ESC) for boot
order (F2) for setup and (F12) for setup via LAN appears
and stay for more than 5 minutes?
Compaq center was unable to fix the bug at the center and
vai teh phone they told me to tremove the update: SP2
(Q814033) ...
Dont get wh y should I remove an upgrade from windows????
Any Help Please ...

Well if this update is causing problems then you should remove it. Is that
so hard to understand. Or just leave the update installed and wait 5+
minutes for the PC to boot. Your choice. Why do you think MS would give you
the option to uninstall updates. Because some people might have problems
with certain updates. Something like you.

the matter in a speedy manner, and in a manner that may
apply to your situation, I'll be happy to post my
resolution in hopes that it helps you. As for Shootist,
perhaps you should try responding only if you can help
somebody - last I checked this is supposed to be a helpful
place. If you're keen on heckling people and berating
them, I believe there are probably a few street corners
available where you can heckle passersby all you like.
