Trouble adding a large file

FrontPage is not letting me drag-and-drop a large file
into the web files. It states that "an error occurred
access your FrontPage web files...." I am working against
a file directory and not directly with a web server. It
is only a problem with very large files. This one happens
to be 2.4MBytes. I know I've got the disksapce because I
can manually copy the file into the web project. I cannot
see any options to set to limit the size of files I'm
trying to add to the web files. Any ideas on what's
preventing me from dropping this large file into the
project?
 
Recommend large media files be FTP'd or you will probably always get server timeouts during publishing
Create a small file (use a notepad file and just rename it w/ the same name of your large one) in a separate folder and create your
links to it. Then right click the folder and convert it to a web/subweb (your host must support subwebs)
The File Publish web and set your options to include subwebs (just this one time)
Thereafter never publish the subweb or open it in FP
Now open your site w/ a FTP client and ONLY FTP the large media file to the folder (subweb) you just created
