Trend problem

Lombardi

I ran the multiscan prog that David Lipman(I think) posted a good while back
with no problems but earlier today I ran Trend (about 3 hours)& all I got
on the results was "an error occured while scanning file (file name)" & on
the rest of them "couldnot set file for reading (file name) at the end it
showed no viruses found.If anyone can help it is appreciated

Sounds like a normal Trend Micro Sysclean "clean" scan. Unfortunately the utility logs much
noise about files it can't scan.

It would help if you could extract peculiar log entries and post them in your reply.
 
I don't know how to extract the files but there was nothing peculair about
the log except it had never done this before.
I will take your word that all is ok.
BTW this is the best AV I have ever used.Thanks for the prog

The Trend Sysclean log will be ...

C:\AV-CLS\Trend\sysclean.log

Just double-click on sysclean.log and if it isn't already associated with NOTEPAD.EXE then
choose gto open it in Notepad.

Then, find the odd-ball lines, highlight them, and choose Edit --> copy then paste those
lines into your reply.

BTW: Thanx for those kind words about the Multi AV Scanning Tool, it is greatly
appreciated. :-)
