There are unique groups for each of the three applications
windows.vista.mail
- Windows Vista Mail
windows.live.mail.desktop
- Windows Live Mail
public.msn.discussion
-MSn Explorer, Windows Live Hotmail, MSn Legacy pop3 accounts, MSn
partnered accounts e.g Qwest, ATT etc, free Msn.com and hotmail.com
accounts
There is some shade of gray for http access of premium or grandfathered
Msn.com/hotmail.com addresses when using OE and OL for send/retreival
that occasionally overlaps into the OE and OL newsgroups instead of the
msn group.
The best results for issues are usually achieved by posting to the
appropriate newsgroup, not crossposting in the future once one is no
longer ignorant of the correct forum, and realizing that only volunteers
like yourself not msft/msn personal participate in these groups.
I'm currently struggling with a non functional Windows Live Mail after
launch resulting in a WLM windows with a black screen on an XP Pro
machine..the last version works fine on another and Vista)
Once I gather more information and test a few other options, I would
seek help in the live.mail.desktop group, which would be the appropriate
forum.
Ranting and dissatisfaction can be common in these forums, but please do
understand the earlier Salvation Army/Levii Strauss analogy(not
crossposted) but is available for your review in msn.public.
