Andy Grove (do you know who he is?) once said - Only paranoid can
survive.
I remember there was a brand name called IBM PC and another one - Compaq.
But I haven?t been able to find them for many years and I wonder where
they
are now? Let me know just in case you've found them.
Ah yes.
Despite the wishful thinking of Windows 'fans' (presumably there are
some),
Apple Computer Inc is by far the longest lasting "Personal Computer" maker
in the world.
IBM PC Division, "Born" 1981, "Died" 2004
Compaq, "Born" 1982, "Died" 2002
Apple Computer, "Born" 1976, now going stronger than ever!
Note: HP while as a company is older than Apple does not count as they did
not start making "Personal Computers" until well after Apple. The Apple ][
is considered the worlds first true "Personal Computer". Dell is a
relative
newcomer having been founded in 1984.
Other early brands that have fallen by the wayside include Commodore,
Atari,
and Tandy.
