Most of those seem to be bugs in applications, should we then impale
Steve Ballmer's head on a stake because Adobe Acrobat Reader had a
security vulnerability???

There are alternative Operating Systems out there, fact of life and
sorry if that offends you, but for someone with needs that can be
satisfied with those systems they are viable and incidentally a lot
better than pirated copies of Microsoft's stuff.

Installing crap will break any operating system, and yes, the
functionality of a lot of Linux stuff is a bit obscure. Some people
probably install bad stuff that breaks things because they are new to
it. However look how many people break "Windows" with malware and the
like. Previously Windows was insecure, but 7 is far better, no
comparison really, but as the "Live" team appear to have recently stated
they feel that removing the "Live Apps" from the core allows better
concentration on the core and better concentration on the individual
apps. Oh, sounds a bit like the way Linux is built does it not?

So rivalry aside it seems the industry is getting on the same page,
which has to be good for Microsoft and users alike.
