You really don't need a page of bullshit.

I'll tell you the difference:

Ubuntu runs Open Sores software programs that NOBODY uses.

Windows uses Windows based programs that EVERYBODY uses.

Ubuntu has been free for many years yet most reject Ubuntu as garbage.

See - Now isn't that better than reading all that bullshit Alias posted?

Nobody uses Open Office, Firefox, Seamonkey, Thunderbird, Opera, VLC
Player, Flash, Java, Audacity, etc.? Where have you been, under a rock?
Windows uses Windows based programs that EVERYBODY uses.

None of the above are "Windows based". The are O P E N S O U R C E.
Ubuntu has been free for many years yet most reject Ubuntu as garbage.

A ****ing outright lie but one you continue to believe. Some believe in
Santa, too.

Not at all. What you posted was just your usual garbage.

One you can't give away even at zero cents, the other commands a price.

One is free if your time is worthless, the other costs but frees up your
time.

One is so "open" and "flexible" they leave it to you to recompile the kernel
if you get a new printer need to get it to work, the other has a flexible
API enabling developers to write drivers so that when you get a new printer,
it works.

One has a small bunch of followers who all think this is is the year their
OS takes the desktop - and they've been thinking this every year since
1996 - the other can be found working away -guess where - on the desktop.

One is called Linux and it sucks, the other is called Windows 7 and it
blows.

The difference is as between Commercial/Busienss OS (Windows) and Drunken
Koala as if Koala wasn't already lazy (Ubuntu).

A lie.

Another lie.

My, my, another lie.

Dell has about a dozen Ubuntu based computers yet you say "they can't
give it away".
One is called Linux and it sucks, the other is called Windows 7 and it
blows.

Saucy

And you swallow.

Linux sucking:

Ewwww Windows juice!

I know you are hurting Alias. So I overlook the personal insults in this
time of your pain. Since I've reading this thread this morning more copies
of Windows 7 have been installed on desktop harddrives than the entire
existing Ubuntu install base.

Don't deny your pain, Alias, let it out. Send be a P.O. Box and I well send
you a box of kleenex in celebra/x/x/x/ with condolences for you on Ubuntu's
obscurity (although I heard there's a town in Spain near some shore where
some Yankee expatriot pays off everyone there to run Ubuntu in order to feed
his delusion that Ubuntu is "everywhere" on the desktop).

LOL! Really? How?
So I overlook the personal insults in this

What personal insults? It's a fact that you're lying, not an insult. If
you're insulted by my calling you a liar, stop lying.

copies of Windows 7 have been installed on desktop harddrives than the

And McDonald's sells more heart attack burgers than than Whole Foods
sells organic carrots. So ****ing what?

I live in a big city.

Dell is under a delusion? IBM is under a delusion? No, Saucy, YOU are.

Dell has about a dozen Ubuntu based computers yet you say "they can't give

So you are saying that Dell has sold about a dozen PCs with Ubuntu? I
didn't know they sold that many!

Everyone knows that Ubuntu is worth exactly what you pay for it: NOTHING

You're just bound and determined to reveal to everyone your bias,
ignorance and stupidity, aren't you? Well, you're doing a great job.
Keep it up!

Not true. Tell me why Ubuntu is still on less than one percent of the
desktops if the product was good. Do you know about word of mouth? If
Ubuntu was a great product, I would tell 10 people. Those 10 would tell
another 10 each and the word would spread like wildfire. Well, years later,
word hasn't spread. The reason that word hasn't spread about that INFERIOR
Ubuntu is because the product is SHIT and NOBODY wants to use it except a
few geeks and others whose time isn't valuable.

Get over it.

Stop your lying.

Word is spreading. Adoption of Ubuntu is skyrocketing. You are lying
because you are biased, ignorant and stupid. There can be no other
explanation.

If Windows is really so good and linux sucks, I wonder why instead of
innovating, MS is claiming creation of a bunch of "new" features in Win7
are in reality features copied from linux that have been in linux for years!

http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/opensource/?p=1009&tag=nl.e011

This is not to say that everything about one OS or the other sucks but
maybe they both have a purpose for many people, even if not for you
personally. You just seem to sound so closed minded Saucy.

I guess you have no reply to this Saucy. Big surprise there. Oh well.

That Microsoft "doesn't innovate" is just a slogan. It has no meaning except
as a tool to manipulate emotions. Most all software is built on what comes
before anyway. Rarely does anyone completely reinvent the wheel. E.g.
Microsoft Office had to be written in a computer language - one Microsoft
didn't necessarily invent i.e. Microsoft probably did not invent the
computer languages C or C++. Microsoft however may have contributed to its
development. Microsoft has hundreds maybe thousands of programmers. To say
none of them ever innovate is ridiculous.

And, yes, Microsoft did create a computer language in recent history, namely
C#. It also extended languages such as C++ so that they could be written in
managed code etc. etc. etc.

But as I've already killfiled Alias, I really have no intention of carrying
on with this sort of vacuous drivel.

MS created C# if you call creation deriving it from other languages:
"C# is an object-oriented language derived from C, with some features
from C++, Java, and Visual Basic."
http://cgibin.erols.com/ziring/cgi-bin/cep/cep.pl?_key=C#

I guess MS "innovated" C# from other languages just like they
"innovated" Win7 from linux and other sources!

Saucy

I would indeed agree your contribution to this thread is "vacuous drivel".

You mean like LT "invented" linux...from Unix?

That's just off-topic for this thread. We were talking about MS, not
other OSes, lol. Maybe instead of spending so much time complaining
about others posting off-topic about other OSes in this group, you
should instead focus on following your own advice? :)

Nice try at backpedaling...hahahah!!!...LOL! Now you try talking about
MS without mentioning linux ok?...Hahahah!!!
Oops!!!

Yes, I think you made an oops too. Saucy ran away from the subject tail
between legs as though kicked, and now you are going in hypocritical
circles chasing your tail and offering off-topic blather having nothing
to do with the actual topic of the thread.

Too bad, I thought this could be an interesting discussion.
