You d/l the full game from Valve via Steam, only ONCE. From their, you play
the game as you would if it were on a CD. It works flawlessly for me. I've
been playing HL and CS via Steam with no problems whatsoever.

connect to their site for a reason. I'm guessing monthly subscriptions
for online play are coming soon.

Not only that, but it appears that even if you buy a retail CD copy of
HL2, once you play online THAT COPY TOO becomes "Steam enabled" and
can no longer be played without connecting to Valve's site

What if your computer is not at home? No internet connection? LAN
party? etc.... it says "Offline/LAN" will be available soon... but
requires you to connect to DL content? WTF? It should ALL ready be
there...
This is confusing shit... Stupid confusion crap... worse than these
stupid video card sub-versions.
I hate Server browsers... In-game browser is best... Ihave not signed
up for my FREE VALVE account.
