Thanks Susan... :-) My face will be red for a while!

Hi Wedgie,

Join the club. I sent SOS a broken link report for that site not too
long age. :)

I thought a heads-up in my post might help alert/remind people that it's
outdated. I've noticed that site comes up quite often in Google searches
(the other SOS sites are omitted from the search results as "duplicate
results"). :(

A nice idea. If splitting multiple files this way, I can see users possibly
wanting to know which original file a chunk came from. I will have to
think of a way to specify a naming convention that could incorporate
such a requirement. I'll put this one on the to do list.

Thanks Adrian. What I had in mind is a directory with newsletters that
mention freeware and shareware. Being able to extract all the freeware
only info could be handy. :-)

When I opened C:\Dump again, there were just 3 files remaining,
and they all had a non-zero after "QA:".

If you want to take this to email, my unmunged address is in the
2nd para of the ReadMe.Txt file that you would have downloaded
with TextWedge. I'm happy to assist with any problems or
questions about my software.

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Ah-ha! Got it to work now :-) That's great - thanks very much for your
help - you have just saved me heaps and heaps of time at work! No idea
why it didn't work when I did it originally - all I did differently
was to go Action-Split, Preview Only before I went to Action-Split and
Save Chunks, yet it came out all wrong for me. Oh well, no matter,
it's going now, and that is the main thing. Thanks to everyone else
who offered suggestions too - I didn't realise that there would be
multiple ways to do what I wanted when I asked the question originally
- this one was just the easiest :-)

Thanks,

Wedgie

You're welcome. Glad it worked out ok.
