Not to pick sides here, but I actually do have the problem that some
usenet groups available on my ISP server work perfectly well, while some
that are listed do not work (they just give me some complaint about not
being available).

However, I cannot condone the postings of anyone in this group. Such
cruelty. Such harsh words. Can't we all just get along?

Shit, I have to give out gift vouchers, and still no one wants mine
unless it's last minutes of Christmas Eve and everyone else is sold out.
And I get a LOT of returns on the 26th.

This may be because you are using an old list of groups
available. In the subscription window, execute 'refresh', which
will get a revised version from your ISP (and take time). You may
well find that those groups are no longer listed.

Your choices are then to a) ask the ISP to carry the group and b)
try a different ISP or news server. There are some free ones
available out there.

You know, I've been using Mozilla for months, and been adding groups to
my list of subscriptions every few weeks, and I never even noticed there
was a refresh button there. Blind like a suisexual champion, I must be.

Obviously anyone with half a brain would know that a test message
in alt.test will only test that particular group.

I mean just because Joe Blogg's car has passed its MOT doesn't mean your
car is roadworthy does it.
The stupidity of some self proclaimed 'experts' in this group never ceases
to
amaze me.
