Tab char in cell

That's because your web site is FUBAR. Your newsgroup vendor isn't
giving you all of the text in the original post...

Huh? All this because of lost formatting. Incredible! Who said anything
about plain text?

Well, actually, you do:

In any case, the basic problem isn't "lost formatting". Rather it
appears to me your web site is broken - more specifically, your news
feed.

I'd suggest you contact Automation Tools and ask them why they're hosing
up your news feed. If you used your site to read the OP's post, you
never saw his original string, so it's no wonder you're confused! In
fact, I'd ask for my money back, if I were you...

BTW - your site would be much more readable, IMO, if you added a border
to your body tag. As it is now, everything's right against the left
margin so that, for instance, the capital letter i gets lost.

I'd suggest putting it in your external CSS, but your newsgroup page has
so much direct formatting, you might as well change it there. (But then
again, why bother to do an external css if you direct format?)

You might also want to look at your internal stylesheet for your news
pages. They reference the "verndana" font (I can't find it anywhere - do
you mean "Verdana", like you use in your external css?)...
