2. You can download a small tool that will do those changes for you
http://spybot.eon.net.au/files/resetsettings.zip }

This tool worked! The settings you mentioned were not on our version of
XP-home.

There is NO CONFIGUTATION INI file anywhere in the Spybot folder. There is
nothing in the Document and Settings folder pertaining to SpyBot at all.
Spybot self installed under Programs. There is NO ALL USERS in there
either. This is XP-home version. Since the configuration ini file could
not be located we downloaded and used the tool above - it worked like a
charm. :-))))

THANKS!!!

Before running ad-aware/spybot delete the
cookies/history/internet temp files and you will probably
not get any problems.

NotePad is a Text Editor. You can edit all kinds of stuff, Boot.ini for
example, with it.

You're welcome. Although, I didn't mention anything. Everything in my post
was quoted from Patrick M. Kolla, the guy who wrote Spybot S&D.
I have XP Home. Yes, you have All Users. For your information, try this:
Start/Run/ copy and paste the following;
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search &
Destroy\"
without the quotes. Click OK. This will take you there.
