After creating a new email when I click on the Spell check icon I receive the
following pop up window error.

"This language is no longer available for spell checking. Please select
another in the spelling options dialog"

I went to Tools > Options > Spelling

English was already chosen, so something was not working.

I resolved my issue by reselecting english and applying the change, this
worked!

If you open your email program and select tools at the bottom is the options
menu if you click on spelling click on a different language and without
selecting apply click on english again and select apply it fixes the problem

You are amazing. Thank you!

Ray, click on the 'option' icon on the home page of your windows mail. You'll
see the 'spell' option there. I did the same thing trying to do a spell
check on an e-mail I had already created but it's not there it's on the home
page.

Thanks Ramesh!! This worked well, I still dont understand why this problem
existed in the 1st place, or why I experienced this while running under my
Identity, but spellcheck worked w/out problems while using windows mail under
my wife's Identity!! Thanks again!! Brett

Bill,

You may use the following REG file to configure the Spell checker:
http://www.winhelponline.com/fixes/spellchk_settings.reg

Download the file to Desktop. Right-click on the file and choose Merge. Click "Yes" to confirm.

Note that this REG file does not bring back the language options in the "Spelling" tab dropdown box, but sets English as the default language. Let's know how this goes.

You're welcome, David. That REG file is especially useful for situations where the language dropdown is empty in the Spelling tab. Are you experiencing this problem too?
