FWIW an MDE bloats slightly too. After several months some MDEs had
bloated by about 10% or so. Very likely query plan updating was part
of the reason.

Thanks for the info on MDE files, Tony. I've never used them before, so I'm
trying to find out what I need to know before I try using them.
