Special character for Rx?

OK, I found it in the Lucida Sans Unicode font list in the Character map!
The strange thing is, when I first created a textbox and set the font to
Lucida Sans Unicode and set the control source to =chrw(8478), it changed it
to plain Lucida Sans and still showed me the box. SO I went back and changed
it again and it kept it that time. I also did a copy form the Word Character
Map, pasted it into notepad, and it did the same thing - I had to go back and
re-change the font for it to work. Odd. But it does eventually work. Thanks
everyone - I had no idea something so seemingly simple would take this much
time.

Did you try writing « 211e » in the input field for the Character Code?

Writing 211E in the Go to Unicode box does find the Rx symbol in the
Arial Uincode MS and Lucida San Unicode fonts, but how would one know
that it is 211E until one first finds it? <g>
Especially when to one searching for it doesn't have the eyes of a 20
year old?

My comment was just a general comment to make sure that this function was
known. Also, don't forget that I did make a mention of this value in my
very first post.

I'm 50 years old and I have an eye condition on the left because of an
allergic problem in past with some of the cleaning lenses solutions. (These
(in-)famous ones with the "no rubbing" label.)

Remember that there are multiple Arial typefaces. The one called just "Arial" is the old one, that does not take the Unicode extensions into account. You are looking for the typeface called "Arial Unicode MS" - that contains everything, and if you specify this typeface your problems will be solved!
