I'm not going to do any more of your homework for you. Seek and ye
shall find...
BTW, .NET framework is installed with many apps, video adapters,
etc, etc. I doubt you did not have .NET installed when you began to have
the problem ;) Disable "BITS" and "Automatic Updates"(temporarily) in
Services and see if the issue is resolved. Post your problem on the
Zone Alarm forum, as well. It has been discussed there many times...

I just looked on the ZA forums and could not find an answer (just a few
questions). Please give me an idea where you found these answers - and
how to get rid of the annoying pop-ups. Thanks.........

Thank you for taking the time for this post. I really want to fix this
SL*.tmp problem.

Good luck. I hope this was helpful. I had to uninstall three Net
Framework components and reinstall two. It was not fun.

It's not what you think. I have not had to reformat my machines for over
10 years. Having to start all over again would be a monumental task.
Just think about all the upgrades and settings and usernames and
passwords, etc.

Sounds like you need to start planning ahead. I have disaster plan, including
a FileMaker database of 400-some apps, with the developer's URL, serial
number, purchase date & order number, a flag for "usual?" for if it's in my
usual applications, notes of whether it's an upgrade that needs the earlier
version first, and so on.
