Shows don't show

When I hit F5 or the button in Powerpoint to show a slide show, the task bar at the bottom of my screen shows a slide show started (so does the Task Manager) but there is nothing! I downloaded the PPViewer and can watch .pps files with this but they aren't very good. I un/reinstalled Powerpoint with no luck then all of Office (I have Office XP Pro on Windows XP Pro) and still have the problem. Ideas on where the show is? I can ALT-F4 to kill it so I know it's the selected program.

I tried to change the resolution but I only have the [Use Current Resolution] option. I changed my desktop resolution and still nothing. I currently run it at 1400x1050 and took it down to 1024x768 and that didn't fix the problem. Ideas?

I suspect that if you go to Slide Show > Set up Show you'll find that it's set
to display the show on your secondary monitor, which is not connected. Is that
possible? If that's what it is, just change that to primary monitor and you're
back in business.

Thank you Sonia. I didn't notice that. Thanks for the help.

Thank you Sonia. That worked. I didn't even see that.
