Shortcuts won't open IE

Hi Alan

Mmm. I seem to have hit a brick wall. I keep copying and pasting the correct
info but each time I go back into URL hyperlinks File Transfer protocol the
%1 is still there.

I have been through all the suggestions on the link you provided but that %1
keeps coming back. I'm running Ad-Aware 6 Pro and Spybot. I even bought Iolo
System Mechanic thinking that it would sort out the problem. Nothing is
working. Do hyperlinks usually launch IE if it's not open? I'm totally at a
loss.

Good news. The following worked (this time!)

5. If you are using WinXP try this:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IE_Default_Browser.reg

I went back through all the steps in http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm,
for the third time, and repeating step 5 seems to have sorted out my problem.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the feedback. I was having the same problem as Jackie D, and
tried modifying the URL. That didn't work so I unchecked DDE, not help. Then
I used Tools, Internet Options, Programs and reset the Web Settings. That did
the trick.

Maybe something I did on the Advanced Tab?
