A very quiet reduction of 2.5 million. Of course, whether it's 25
million or 1 million doesn't really matter, right? That's the common
response to individuals who finally figure out that not only did six
million Jews *not* die in the Second World War -- not even half that
number died.

Jews died, but six million did not.

The quote from the director of the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in
Israel:

"The 4 million figure was let slip by Capt. Rudolf Hoess, the death
camp's Nazi commander. Some have bought it, but it was exaggerated."

There are some nincompoops who still believe the nonsense about 'Jewish
soap'.

In 1990, Israel's official "Yad Vashem" Holocaust memorial agency
"rewrote history" by admitting that the soap story was not true.

That may well be true, but I prefer to deal in ideas, not with
personalities. Unsavory ideas still have to be considered
while impolite individuals can and often should be ostracised.

I very much fear you are right. The EU does not seem to have
learned the correct lessons from past nastiness. Individual
rights are still not recognized as above social cohesiveness.
Property/economic rights are still not recognized as the
foundation of political rights.

Jews died, but six million did not.

It depends on how you count. I believe the six million
figure is for total deaths due to the internment program.
Many other populations were deemed undesireable and also
included (Romanii (gypsies), slavs, gays, ...).

Most died from neglect/privation during internment. Almost
as many died during transportation. Comparatively few were
executed in gas chambers or otherwise.

I am less interested in the sensationalist gas chambers than
in the process of dehumanizing certain groups and in depriving
them of rights others enjoy. This process persists even if
gas chambers are taboo.

No, not in this case.

First of all, six million was and always has been an approximation, a
bit easier than remembering certain attempts at exactitude. 5,721,500,
for instance. Auschwitz has always been the main cog behind these
figures. It was the largest, deadliest concentration camp the Germans
administered. However, the six million figure wasn't reduced neither in
the media's line, nor history books, when the official casualty
estimate of Auschwitz was brought down from four million to 1.5
million. I'm fairly certain that nearly 100% of the population is
unaware of this official revisisionism of Auschwitz. This is quite
bizarre, as the purpose of historians and science is exactiude -- being
as precise as possible. Don't waste your time attempting to deny Jewish
power in the financial and media world, as it's entirely indisputable.
It's they, and fear *of* them, that has kept the six million figure
alive.

It's interesting to note, too, the Jews' obsession with the number
'six'.

On May 31, 1944, a Jewish propagandist, Slovak Rabbi Dov Weissmandel,
stated in a letter: "Up to this day, six times a million Jews of Europe
and Russia have been exterminated." Two years earlier, in May 1942, yet
another Jewish propagandist, Nahum Goldmann, who would later become
president of the Jewish World Congress, predicted at an event in New
York that of eight million Jews living in the German sphere of
influence only two to three million would survive the war. According to
the orthdox Holocaust story, the extermination of the Jews had just
begun at that time, so how could Goldmann know the future number of
victims?

Our astonishment assumes huge proportions when we learn that the six
million figure already made a premature appearance in 1919. On 31
October of that year, the American Jewish newspaper The American Hebrew
bewailed a "holocaust" - this word, which means "sacrifice by fire" in
the Greek language, was actually used in the article! - going on in
some unspecified area in Eastern Europe. The author assured that this
"holocaust" had claimed, or was about to claim, six million victims.
The six million figure was mentioned no less than seven times. Six is
the holy number of Judaism, so we can safely assume that the alleged
number of Holocaust victims is a Jewish religious myth derived either
from the Thora or the Talmud.
