Windows is working fine now. I was wondering if the repsir install could have
fixed something that was previously allowing bad formats to complete.

Mother Board: GA-K8VM800M

I can't run the program since I don't have a working floppy drive.

I actually only need to install extra drivers if I'm setting up RAID.

My diagnostic tools check all sectors on the drive, so they must all be
accessible, meaning it's not a driver problem.

Which memtest file did you get??
There's one for building a floppy (Pre-Comp..Floppy (DOS-Win)
and another for burning a CD (Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)
Get the latter one, unzip and burn with Nero or some such..

According to the manual for your mobo you *have to* install the sata raid
driver.
This is done in the initial setup of win, or in a repair install of win via
the F6 option to install drivers from floppy.
You can install from cd if you slipstream the drivers into a win install cd.
These drivers are required whether you use raid or not, they are actually
the controller drivers.
Its all explained in the Via/Sata manual (page 3 & 10)

Now it appears you are saying you dont have a working floppy or burner. That
being the case your only option is to either buy a new floppy or cd burner,
or borrow some one elses pc to create a slipstreamed installation cd.
