I don't use his drivers, I've tried them a couple of times, and not
noticed any advantage.

The fact that his drivers rarely if ever crash my system makes them worth
every dollar i donate to him!!!!

ATI's drivers have never crashed my system.

Omega does not change any driver code, he alters settings (some of which
may not be apparent in the ATI control panel). So I dunno why the ATI
ones crash your system.

But if it works, it works. Have you donated?

BS. I've been running ATI CAT 5.1 drivers for ages and haven't had one
crash. The Omega drivers are just tweaked CAT drivers for IQ. Don't
spread FUD.

If somebody does something that other people like, should they not be
remunerated?

It's not like he has a duty to supply up to date video driver tweaks
for everybody for the rest of his life. He has to eat as well, and if
he can't afford the time to do the drivers, then he can't find the
time. If he's being remunerated for his time, then maybe he can afford
it. Is that a con? Of course not.

Whining about it and threatening to shut down was a scam to generate
income. After trying a lot of them, I think the omega drivers and all
the rest are worthless. People that waste their time using them have
been conned once, anyone who sends this little jesus freak prick a dime
has been conned twice.

When I had an R8500 I had to use the Omega drivers to get FS2002 to
play correctly so they ain't always useless. I see no value in them
these days though. I question the legality of him making money off the
backs of ATI's drivers though.

If ATI doesn't have a problem with it then why should you?

One value to them is that they work on laptops, where ATI's drivers do not
without tweaking.

I see absolutely no problem with him requesting donations for his
services. I see no problem with him stopping the drivers at any point
in time.

Well, if he stops in the next couple of releases then perhaps I would
think it's a con, otherwise, it's all fair game.

If you don't have a problem with it then why did you bring it up at all?
ATI is big enough to do their own questioning if they think it is
appropriate to do so. Since Omega seems to have ATI's blessing I don't see
what point there is to your "questioning" the "legality" of his site.

Might I suggest that you join the Rwandan army or some such and find an
outlet for this desire to question the legality of things that aren't your
concern?

The Omega Drivers have been recognized by ATI as the best moddeed
drivers in the Internet!!!

Here is a quote from Terry Makedon when he was interviewed by a German
Magazine:

"ATI supports the enthusiast community wholly. Omega Drivers are in
fact a good example of ATI's user community at its best. What they are
in principle are CATALYST drivers with different settings enabled via
registry keys and other such methods. This provides users an
alternative to ATI's CATALYST default settings. While there are a few
different modification drivers out in the community our relationship
with the creator of the Omega Drivers is of the highest working
standard. The author of these drivers is part of the CATALYST beta
driver testing team and also in direct contact with ATI. In fact we
