Removing old drivers easily

Ok, but that bunch of stuff, is it specifically (user
-chosen to) installed to your Winnt folder or to the Program
Files folder and elsewhere? Most apps don't put a lot of
(sizeable) files in the WINNT folder. I suspect you
already have well over 600MB of bloat as most larger files
for installed apps won't be placed under the Winnt folder
but rather another subdirectory. That doesn't necessarily
make it a problem of course, not with today's large HDDs a
gig of space is easily enough overlooked.

Maybe after I sort out all the issues regarding backup strategies, now
that I have a h/w solution to evaluate, I will take the time to
re-install Windows. With lots of printed screenshots of various
configurations, eg, Add/Remove, etc, I will have a roadmap.
