Bullshit. Canon is NOT an inkmaker, they tinker with electronics. They
asked various commercial inkmakers to submit samples, then selected the
one they thought had the least negative aspects like clogging, color
problems, etc, the one that seemed to work best with their printer
nozzles. They then arranged to have the ink packaged with their name on
it and sold at 25 times the price (or whatever) they paid for it from
the supplier. That's how they make their money. It's not from the
printers. The printers are given away at cost or less, just to hook you
on their ink. The ink is their cash cow. They don't care about me, you
and the udders.

What Measkite does not understand is that the ink produced by Image
Specalists, Formulabs, OCP, and others is designed to work with the
same printers. This very same ink is repackaged, relabled, and sold in
all venues. While it's true the printer, ink, and paper are part of a
system... someone who comes by and reccomends Kirkland photopaper isn't
using the system anyway so any point on the subject is moot.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS JERK. THE ONLY WAY TO GET INK OF THE SAME QUALITY
AS CANON AND BE ASSURED OF IT IS TO GO TO YOUR FAVORITE INK STORE AND
BUY CANON OEM PREFILLED CARTS.

You can get good enough ink form bulk ink resellers.

Huh? It is an established fact that BCI7 is CL100 inks in a BCI6 cart for
the Japanese Pixus x100 printers (same thing essentially as Pixma x200).
I'd like you to try and prove otherwise. And coming back with your rhymes
will prove me correct.

YOU ARE FULL OF CRAP AS USUAL

How? It is proven fact that aftermarket ink works fine, from many reports
here and other places, and properly used, no worse than OEM ink, except in
price.

BCI-7 was for the Japanese Pixus ip5000 equilient, as well as the x100
printers as you said. The BCI-7e is the exact same thing as our CLI-8
cartridges except the roms reflect they are BCI-7e for the pixma/pixus
x200 series. For example a printer released in america set to japanese
mode will reject CLI-8, it will ask for BCI-7e.

As far as i'm aware... the difference between these printers is the
cartridges. BCI-7e and CLI-8 have fancy lights and are chiped. BCI-7
is the same physical as BCI-6 except having the chromalife100 ink.
Your info was correct as far as I know, I was just adding "BCI-7e"

I AM SURE NOT ALL CANADIANS ARE AS DUMB AS YOU. MAYBE THE SMART ONES
LIVE IN FRENCH QUEBEC

TALLYHO DOESNOT UNDERSTAND THAT CANON DESIGNED THE PRINTER AND
FORMULATED THE INK TO THE SPECIFICATION NEEDED TO WORK WITH THAT DESIGN
AND THEN DEVELOPED THE PAPER TO WORK WITH BOTH THE DESIGN AND THEIR
FORMULATION.

But Measkite, you have recommended Costco paper!
IN CONTRAST THE WHORES BUY ANYTHING FROM WHO KNOWS WHO PRODUCING WHO
KNOWS WHAT

You whore! I always suspected.
