Hi Everyone,
For some reason I can not see my network adapter(local
area connection) under my network places . It has dissapeared
completly . The connection still works and I can see the card under
device manager , I just can not get to it or see it, to change any
settings . Anyone got any ideas !!! .

Thanks

Adam

Seems to me that most such weird adapter problems are
solved with a reinstall. Reinstalling network cards is
very easy, so it isn't worth more indepth troubleshooting.

Try uninstalling the card first from device manager. Then
open your PC and physically remove the card. Try
inserting it into another PCI slot if available. Reboot,
and let your PC recognize it as a new card.

If that still doesn't work, I'd try to borrow another
network card to narrow down the problem between your card
and motherboard.
