Really dumb question

For the record, reread my posts. One of my other suggestions was to look at
Journaling since it was the only feature that had an icon like you describe.

Cool. Thanks for the update and the advice on Journalling. Did you
ever get much out of Journalling ? BTW, I neglected to mention that my
version is Outlook 2002/XP. That MIGHT account for some differences in
the appearance of the Icon.

No offence intended, Russ. I just got curious and my simple-minded
investigative approach seemed a good fit with the problem and Mr.
Carlson.

By the way, how would I find out what all the possible values of the
Icon field would be for each type of Outlook item ? I was looking at a
reference that seemed to say that assigning an icon when adding a new
type of Journal entry required changing the registry. Is that true, as
far as you know ? Where is a good place to get info on the icons and
changing them ?

Don't know. My idea of searching for *.ico files in the Office folders seems
like it would suffice.

I figured this one out - trying to research a different problem. The
"thingy" is an indication that this contact is marked in the journal to
record activities.

I'm trying to figure out a way to globally set that, or to set it in the
contacts folder.

Hi All (again),

Here's what I did to get my Contact icon back to the normal one:

1) Open up one of the contacts that have the "yellow paper with Push pin"
icon.
2) Tools > Forms > Design This Form.
3) Click on the unwanted "Financial Information" tab to bring that page on
top.
4) Edit > Select All, then Edit > Clear.
5) Form > Rename Page . I renamed it to "(P.2)" without the quote marks.
Btw, the ""Financial Information" page had been designed on Outlook's default
tab number two; hence the rename to "(P.2)".

Hope this helps someone some rainy day.

Regards,
Brcobrem
