Readyboost deletes cache on reboot

Since Ready Boost also supports Ready Boot by recording activity during the
first 90 seconds after boot so that SuperFetch can do a better job. It may
be that the cache gets deleted on any system on which you have the
SuperFetch service enabled.

Same problem here. Using a 2Gb DataTraveller USB stick, specifically ReadyBoost compatible. I see in the event log that the cache gets deleted on shutdown.

The cache seems to get rebuilt about 30 seconds after logging in - at first nothing happens, and the hard disk is silent. Then it starts thrashing, and looking in Performance and Reliability monitor I can see sfcache getting lots of writes. It takes a good few minutes of thrashing to fill up the 2GB cache file - there must be a way to stop this happening!
