The way I look at it though is you'll be getting build 5600 in the mail. It
took be 3 hours to download build 5728 and your Key works just as well on the
new build. Why not just give 5728 a test instead.
Microsoft has said that they will not start Mailing Out the RC1 Build 5600
DVD's for the CPP Program until sometime during the Week of September 25th,
2006 (this week). That said, it may take them a while to get all the DVD's
sent out for the CPP Program. You might want to try Downloading either RC1
or Build 5728 (after you read Microsoft's Windows Update Warning Message for
Build 5728) instead of waiting for the DVD to Arrive (as long as you have a
Broadband Connection).
Nope. I have yet to receive mine.
Microsoft claims 4 to 8 weeks till we receive them.
Hopefully, the RC1 disk will be build 5728, rather than build 5600.
5728 is SMOOTH as a whistle, and is pretty close to RTM quality right
now. I have yet to encounter a BSOD with this build. And haven't
seen many bugs, either, as I did with build 5600.
If you have broadband, I advise you to go ahead and download this
build. It is MUCH better than build 5600.
All who are part of the Vista CPP are eligible to download build 5728.
The download link is on the Vista CPP page.
