RAM problems

its best to match the speeds, but if you can only get 400Mhz then it will work, but will run at 333Mhz

right, just before i order my RAM, does it matter if my current RAM uses 333mhz....do i need to buy ram that is equivelent to this??????? please help!!!!!

:D

If you are replacing all your current RAM, then it doesn't matter.

If you are going to keep some of your old 333Mhz RAM and add some 400Mhz, then as Me_2001 says, its usually best to match if possible, but all that will happen is that the RAM will operate at the lower speed.

o k thanks, the ram i am ordering is 400mhz and it is either 2x 512, or one 512 and one gig. they are both the same make and have same specs e.t.c. so that should be ok.

thanks for your reasureance :)
