I suspect that if you really felt confident in
that decision then you wouldn't feel a need to
issue such a forceful rebuttal out of thin air -
without the least bit of curiosity about my reasoning
or about the circumstances. (Not that I want to
start a new debate about XP.

There are no qualifiers in your statement about inflicting Windows
9x on people you know. I'm a very active user and very confident of
the major benefit XP has over 98/Me. My forceful rebuttal is trying
to get your attention to that fact. Convincing me wasn't easy, I was
one of the last holdouts having loads of experience with every other
Microsoft operating system before XP. Now I know.
