=== if you have Proxomitron installed you should set proximodo to use
port 8088,
and set your browser to use port 8088 when using proximodo ........
at least that's what I did in Firefox and it works ====
I did the settings correctly yet i had no luck. wondering why it isnt
working for me.

No he should set his port for 8080, not 8088.
i have it set for 8080 and its still not working.tried configurations
and still no luck im using xp if that helps any. no firewalls or the
such.

=== did you read to readme ? if you already have another proxy set to use port
8080 , then you need to set Proximoto to use a different one , like 8088 ==

I'm afraid I'm out of ideas, as I don't know anything about XP.

Comparing Proxomitron to Adblock is like comparing Excel to Windows
Calculator.

I agree. To Paul Urquhart, Proxomitron does more than ad blocking, it
can stop website sounds such as midi/wave, et al from loading, it can
stop Flash animations from loading, it can kill Java/Javascripts from
loading, et al. There's so much that Proxomitron can do & more
features can be added because new configerations can be created to
help Proxomitron extend what Proxomitron can do.
