Only if you were lucky enough to get these builds, the rabble only got
5308...

I guess the "rabble of the rabble", such as myself, didn't even get
that, or any other, build. Especially those of us who have
consciences, and refused to download a pirated build.

Hopefully, I will soon receive my invitation, download link, and
key(s) for Beta 2.

I'm quite sure I have more than enough bandwidth to download it. Or,
I'm also sure that Microsoft will provide a link to purchase a DVD.

Nope, won't work. It'll just reject it straight away.

Thanks for the reply Zack. I have a Technet Plus subscription and I'm
just waiting for the DVD. Will they send another key with the dvd?
That's what they usually do for Technet plus. Thanks.

Yeh, you'll get another one through with the July shipment :o)

Update: I Finally was Able to Get my Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
Product Key at 2:00 P.M. Microsoft Time Zone (Pacific Daylight Time
Zone, Just FYI).

Big deal! I got mine yesterday, just FYI!

That's the bit that Microsoft fail to understand, if you restrict the
access to people that are determined to try this stuff, then they will
resort to dodgy sites to get these builds. If you want to stop people
messing with dodgy builds, then give them the proper deal..

Anyway, it's really kind of irrelevant, since the CPP will be released
to the general public within 2 weeks. For which I am more than
willing to wait.

Hi,

I am trying to get the Longhorn key. Got the Vista key. Can u help with a
URL, pse?

You are a brave soul putting your phone number
in a public forum.

Yeah, definitely don't put your real e-mail address (or at least don't put
it in there without some editing to the e-mail address), sometimes age,
telephone, address, and the like in newsgroups.

I've DL'ed and burned the ISO - however, I had received a product key. I'd
like to try the RC out.

I'm having a problem with activating my Vista. The Product key that came with
the disc doesn't work so I managed to find another product key. But when I
try to activate windows it tells me the product key is already in use and to
try a different one. I've tried 11 of them and none seem to work.

Can anyone give me a product key

What version of Vista and which edition are you installing, and does
the key match the edition?

The Beta/RC keys are typically only for the Ultimate edition to test
all the features. If you try to use those keys for Basic, Premium,
etc., you will get an error.
Can anyone give me a product key

Any product keys we have are likely already in use or soon will be, so
it would be a waste of time asking here.

Call Microsoft and inquire, explaining your configuration and error.
