It could be the capacitors that were mentioned earlier. My best guess, I
had a similar probelm and sent the board back for repair. Check to see if
any of the green cylindrical things have brown on the metalic tops. If so
you have popped your caps. Epox has been known to use cheap capacitors that
tend to blow about as soon as the warranty on the board expires. The
symptoms you describe seem to fit.
If you remove the motherboard from the case, inspecting the underside can
reveal brown spots that indicate overheated components.
