Problem subscribing to internet calendars

I have Outlook 2007 on Vista. I have gone through the steps to subscribe to
a google calendar (also tried an ishare calendar). Using Data management, I
add the url and it shows up as pending. It is never added to the Other
Calendar section of Outlook. Once I close and reopen Outlook the entry in
Data Management dissapears.

Any assistance would be apprecieated. Updating snapshots (which do work) is
a pain.

Have you downloaded and installed the Google Synchronising tool?

Yes I have. My main calendar syncs. I maintain a few other calendars for
groups that I belong too.

test it with a new profile - it should work without the sync tool.

New profile has the same behavior. I created a new user account too. The
same thing happens.

I have had similar problems. Outlook allows me to enter new Internet Calendar *.ics calendar links and says they are 'pending' but they never show up as part of my 'Other Calendars', they never update and they ultimately just disappear from the subscription list.

I don't understand why but I did find something that works.

Instead of loading the subscriptions by menu selections:

File -> Data File Management -> Internet Calendars

I use this:

Tools -> Account Settings -> Internet Calendars

and enter the subscriptions.

And for some unknown reason it works even though the Account Settings entry screen looks identical both ways.

Is there a fix to solve internet calendar issue ?
All the internet calendars added to outlook 2007 stay in <pending> states !!!

What site are the calendars on? Did you try it with internet calendars from
other sources? Do you have Office 2007 SP2 installed?
