When printing notes pages, the slide is blank. only the note shows. Is there
a way of having both on the same page?
Thanks

By default they should. Which version of PowerPoint are you using? does it
have all the updates?

Try reappling the layout to the notes page.

In the normal view, I can see the slide and the note as usual

In the print preview mode, I click under print what: notes pages and I only
see the notes. slides are blank.

Make sure that the individual computers have a default printer assigned.
This sometimes clears up printing mishaps.

OK, in that case, go to View, Master, Notes Master.
Choose View, Color/Grayscale and choose Grayscale.
The Grayscale toolbar should appear.
Select the slide placeholder.
On the Grayscale toolbar, click Setting and make sure it's set to Automatic.

You may need to do the same Automatic setting on each of the slide placeholders on
the individual notes pages, but try it on the master first.

They do have a default printer assigned.

Interesting. What do you see when you select notes pages, then do a print
preview? do you see the image or a blank slide? Might try updating your
printer drivers.

Thanks Steve for all your help but it still doesn't work.

Here are the steps I follow in PPT 2007
-View
- Notes page
- Slide is blank and notes appear
- Choose grayscale
- Choose automatic
- Still the same

- again view
- Notes master
- Slide is showing in color as created
- Choose grayscale
- Choose automatic
- Slide changes to gray
- Close notes master
- Still not working

I might be doing something wrong? Thanks again

Just a blank slide. I will talk to our technology officer and see about the
printer drivers.

I am using ppt2007 so when I go view, notes page it gives me a blank slide
but I can see the notes.

You need to do View, Master, Notes Master instead.
- Slide is blank and notes appear

And you need to click the slide image to select it first.

I decided to copy and paste all slides on a new presentation. Thought that
maybe it was corrupted for some reason. Now it works. Should have done it
right away.
Once again many thanks :-)

Should have done that from the begining.
Thank you for all your helps :-)

I am having the same problem. In the middle of my show, the slide does not
appear on the notes page view. I have tried cutting them to a new
presentation. I tried doing that grayscale/automatic thing. Nada. I can't see
them in the print preview view either. Ironically, the script is teaching PPT
to faculty do I can't just ignore the problem.

2007. I realized I should have put that in right after I hit post. I just
tried changing the page layout and that didn't work either. If I copy the
items off those pages to fresh pages, I can see all in Notes Page view. I
inserted a page with nothing on it that I need as part of the demo. It has
notes. When I view that page, I can see an empty box. The "bad" pages have
nothing at all on top and the text of the notes did not wrap. Thanks.
