For obvious reasons I am not going to discuss inks (life is to short to
read the rants that come back on this forum) but one of the German ink
manufacturers has some very useful test charts. I downloaded these ages
ago and now use them to help sort out my settings.
Go to OCP (www.ocp.de), click on support then on test charts. Save (for
another day) print and view against what you expected to get and it is
quite easy to work out what you need to change in the settings. Now if
I change paper or ink supplier I just print out a chart and compare it
with the last one (I keep back copies with the ink, paper & settings
written on the back).
It's not all technically perfect of course, but most of us just want
good looking prints. Try it, its free!
