printer ink levels

I used to have windows 98 and it was easy to tell my ink
levels on my epson1270.I now have windows xp and cannot
find the ink level indicators.help!

Nothing to do with the operating system - it was part of the driver. Epson
decided not to update the status monitor for that model, so you're just
going to have to manage without.
