The motherboard manual should contain a diagram of most major parts. If you
don't have a manual go the manufactures web site and download the manual
(usually a .pdf file) for the model number of your mobo.

lot of the basics. Then as Jim suggested get the manual for the specific
board you are looking at to get the details on that board.
