PC P&C is an American company but Seasonic is a Taiwan company so you
should have no trouble getting those. PC P&C don't even manufacture
their own PSUs.. They have them made to their specs by 2 companies.
Their Silent series is made by Seasonic and I can't remember the name of
the company that makes their more powerful PSUs but they are Asian too.
There are very few products actually manufactured in the U.S. anymore
because they all want more profit so have their products made in
countries with cheap labor.

I did read about PC P&C from Anandtech and knew about the OCZ takeover.
I was just not sure whether it has anything to do with Seasonic.

Oh yea, should just add, the best reliable and fairly cheap brands are
Fortron and Sparkle. They are the same company and go under the name FSP
Group. If you are looking to save money and still want fairly reliable then
buy from one of those two companies.

It's hard to avoid the China factor now.... but how could I know
whether an Antec is using quality capacitors (be it Japanese or not)?
You could not just judge it by the price, could you?

Thanks. Any comment on the NeoPower Blue 650W?

Performance-wise, yes, but I'd place my long-term bet on the SG650
because all of its capacitors are Chemicon and Rubycon, while the
NeoPower has OST capacitors on the outputs, and the EarthWatts has
Taicon and Ltec caps, although apparently not in the output filters.

Here's a picture of some capacitors on an Asrock K7VT4A Pro mobo that
had been used lightly for only two years. It had 14 Ltec bypass
capacitors, 3 which swelled up, one which can be seen at the lower
left (blue w/ ruptured top), 4 Chemicon CPU regulator caps, 4 OST caps
that follow the Chemicons, and several tiny Teapo caps. Only the
Ltecs failed.
