Thank you for such great response to my request for information.
Patrick and others provided the exact information I requested. It worked fine.
Bruce, I apprecieate your view. However in my particular case I had
extensive discussions with my Virus checker provider, and spent over one full
week of intense searching to solve the real issue, as I understand it.
My third-to-last resort was to shut-down messenger service.
The second-to-last was to reload the virus checker (where I had, regettably,
caused the issue by giving premission for an unknown device to connect)
because the checker simply did not allow resetting of such premissions.
And the last-ditch effort was to reload W2K and start over.
Now, you may have a far more elegant solution but the above shows the extent
of my own ability to deal with this issue.
It is really nice to not have the nasty pop-up every few seconds!
