True dat, but we just pay VAT on just about everything, regardless of what County we're in :(

it's a helluva lot easier than working out sales tax on everything - for a start it varies depending on the state and even in the shops they dont add it onto the price, you see something for a buck in the USA, the chances are its a buck ten or whatever... Far too tricky... At least 99% of the time we dont have to work anything out, and we know its always 17.5% on pretty much anything but take away mcdonalds and kiddy sized nike trainers...

hey hey now, but our taxes are pretty simple... it only changes between 6-7% per county (depending on how big the cities in that county are. the more people, they less taxes.) unless your in like new york where they pay city, county and state taxes. (which i wouldnt pay). but you guys actually pay 17.5% wow... and its not so bad, you figure 6 cents per dollar so its not like you have to be a math wiz to figure it out... (good thing for me). and if you pay that much for products, and you all buy online and from an overclockers (which started out in america i believe) why not buy it and ship it to there. i dunno how it works there but we dont pay taxes if you buy it online. and check out www.newegg.com bout the best prices and THE best customer service on any online computer site.

6% of a dollar isn't so hard, though iv'e yet to see anyone add 6.3% to $142.97 without a calculator or alot of time...

New Egg is good, or at least so I'm led to believe. Most US guys I meet on Forums speak well of them.

I have seen one or two peeps bitching about them here and there though, nobody's perfect.

They will not ship to the UK, but often some friendly US peeps will ship for you, I've done that a couple of times, but you gotta have trust. Somehow, you just know after a period of time after rappin' with someone, you can trust them, although that's not always without risk.

So far I've made savings of 50 & 40%. And remember - mark as 'gift' ;)

well its never like 6.3%. they make it easy for us, its either 5-6-7- or 8%. and yes, its a much better set-up to run threw someone else if you can find a viable and steady supplier with the same with buyers. that risk is mighty heavy if people keep backing out.
