If you're using PhotoFiltre, you might be interested to know that the
author (Antonio Da Cruz) has now incorporated my translations of the
help files into the current download of the English version of his
program.

Sorry to reply again, but you missed a spot. :-)

PNG Yes Oui (in indexed colors mode)


You also might want to ask Antonio to change "Informations" to Information
on the tool bar.

and tell us s=p=e=c=i=f=i=c=a=l=l=y the URL to the English version.
I see only French everywhere I look.

Maybe this oversight can also be looked at:

"Action" tab

Déclenche les traitements et affiche le rapport.
Pour interrompre le traitement, appuyez sur la touche "ESC" et attendez
que le programme
vous rende la main. Cette action peut prendre une ou plusieurs secondes
selon la vitesse de
votre machine. Dans cet onglet, vous avez également la possibilité d'
enregistrer les paramètres.

I already have translated the turtorial about how to create selection
filters in both english and Dutch. Antonio will put them up soon, he wrote
me...


As for the other stuff, Depends on how much time I got (and more important,
if I feel like it) I would like to have someone to proof read it afterwards.
I'm a lousy at spelling (dislexia, especialy while writing, not when
reading. - As always I had to be a special case ;-) ) And the MS
Wordcspellchecker only whines if a word realy does not exist.

Mean while I'm also developing some photomasks And although it is not polite
to say this about yourself, i realy think some of them are gems. Just give
me time to create a dozan or 3 ....

Here's a tip for you- when you run into a website that's in a language
you don't speak, you can use this site to translate it for you:

In fact, that' how I translated the help file.

In the translation I sent Antonio, here's what it said:

stop the treatment, press the "ESC" key and wait until the program
returns control to you. This action can take one or more seconds
according to the speed of your machine. In this tab, you can also save
the parameters.

Apparently this was an error on Antonio's part.

In the translation I sent Antonio, that mistake wasn't there. It's an
editing error on his part I'm afraid.
You also might want to ask Antonio to change "Informations" to Information
on the tool bar.

I too noticed that one, but I was only translating the help file.

Now if he'll only accept help on translating his web site...

Kudos for your efforts on translating the help file.

Does PhotoFiltre support layers? I can't find anything saying it does.
 
Well, in some sence: It accepts a photo mask (a gray scale *.gif picture
where compleetly white is transparent and compleely black is opaque). You
can use it tro create transperancy, a color overlay, use it as a grayscale
mask or as a blur effect. You can rotate and invert the PhotoMask you
choose.

It is kind of more easier to use for the starting user (Or am I the only one
who still fights with layers all the time?)

But for the record: not as fancy as, say, PhotoShop or Paintshop. (Hey, you
already get more then payed for!)

I understood The Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) does haqve more layer support,
if it is layers that turns you on ;-)

I had never understood how to use layers before I found Pixia, and found
excellent tutorials for it on the web.

Now it is very easy to use layers in Pixia, which is the best paint program
I know, and it is freeware too :-)

It is easy to create your own special brushes for Pixia, just create bmp
files and put in folders among the other brushes.

Photofiltre is very good as a picture processing program, but it is no
paint program.

The English versions that I sent Antonio were thoroughly translated. I
used to work in a news agency, so by force of habit I proofread
several times. This must be another editing error by Antonio. 80)>
