Overclocking 6800

Do you mean unistall the old Omega drivers ?!?! I didn't realise i had any ?! Lol I didn't unistall any drivers when putting it in ?!?!

Yeah the 6600GT went to around 1.2GHz this at the moment is only getting to around 900 so far ?! i got 9921 with a o/c of 370/900MHz ?! When i try to put it up to 1.0GHz and click on *test changes* it doesn't allow me to and says to lower it... 2 times in a row now, the pc has just reset it self ?! So i have underclocked it by 5 MHz lol so far so good :P

Is this card already o/c a bit though is that why i can't put it up more before i start seeing artifacts on 3D Mark 03 ?! lol

And yeah i did unistall the Expertool that came with the card it self. Because Reef said to with my old card, so i thought i would do it with this card, when it started to fail ! lol...
 
No - the Omega Drivers completely REPLACE the Forceware drivers....

You have to uninstall the old graphics drivers, then reboot, then install the Omega drivers, then reboot...

Try the OC tool that comes with the Omegas...
 
oooo !! lol So should i go on Add/remove programmes find omega drivers unistall them along with the things that say: nVidia drivers, nVidia GART driver, nVidia WDM drivers and nVidia Omega driver setup... reboot, then re-install Omega and then o/c with the O/C tool that came with it ?!?! :P

I FINALLY got my 3D Mark 03 past 10,000 !!! lol I got 10,082 :) Hehe Hours on end work finlly did it ! :P But now my score went from 3152 to 2806 on 3D Mark 05 ?! Does this mean i may have tried to hard ?! Shall i underclock it a bit ?! :S Will try 3D Mark 01 in the morning lol :P

I got 17,019 :S lol More then previous though, but i am wondering why the score is lower on 3d Mark 05 ?! Everyother benchmarking seems to be ok ?! Odd ?! lol

With all the Omega drivers chris, what does it mean ?!?

Omega drivers are "Tweaked" by a third party to give better performance and better image quality.

Forget about 3DM01 mate - it's 5 years old, and newer cards tend to score lower than older ones - e.g. i get near 20,000 and your system kicks mine.

Check you haven't bumped up the settings by accident in 05...!

Check you gots D3D and OpenGL settings at "Balanced"... umm...

I dont know.
 
I can't change the settings on 05 because i have to buy it or something ?! lol

How do i check those things are balanced ?!

I get theses square shadows and lines coming out of players on counterstrke source now lol so i lowerd the clocking settings.

If you have reinstalled drivers they are likely to be set there unless you messed with them... so thinking about it they should be fine because yoru 3DM03 score is good

Btw i sold my old FX5500 to my bro's m8 for 30 pounds lol since it came with the pc though, it doesn't have any cd's so i gave him the download for the latest driver will this be ok ?

I think he's talking about the print screen i posted (page 2 on this thread i think), its just the visual settings, make sure there on "Application Controlled". You mighta tweaked one and you've probably increased visual quality but its taking its tole on performance ;).
 
I dont know what they are like on nVidia, but on my ATI card i had the option to select Direct3D and OpenGL presets... The default being "Balanced"
 
Well theres only 1 thing you can change on the Direct3D page and thats to say how many FPS you want it to render ahead, default being 3. The only other bits n bobs you can fiddle with are on the print screen below:

Well one thing i noticed Reef was that your Image settings was set to quality and mine was to performance. I have changed mine to quality aswell.

Will i see a difference ?!!?
