Hi

When I write a new letter in the outlook express and ask for spelling all
the words are being fixed ( "Not In Dictionary") with no suggestion.
Seems the the OUTLOOK EXPRESS dictionary is empty ?!?!?

How can I fix that ???

If you do a full search for Custom.Dic - how many matches does the
search return ?

Do you have any of the MS office components installed?

OE doesn't have a dictionary. You need to have MS Word or Works
installed for OE to be able to have a dictionary. You might want to
consider switching to T-Bird as it has its own dictionary, junk mail
control and is far easier to back up and restore than OE will ever be.
It will also import everything from OE when you set it up. Best of all,
it's free and can be obtained at http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird.

1) I do have the Custom.Dic file on the directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Microsoft\Proof

the file include 4 dummy words !!!

2) No spelling problem with other microsoft tool (word ...)

So ...

T-Bird would be a better option, especially the way it handles spam and
malware email. The back up is really easy. Do you even know how to back
up OE? T-Bird backs up *everything* from rules to all your email
accounts with a simple copy and paste of three files. OE requires
compacting which can lead to losing all your mail if there's a power
failure while you're compacting. In short, OE is a POS compared to
Thunderbird. OE is no longer supported by MS but T-Bird is continuing to
upgrade and improve the product.

So there is a Custom.Dic and you login with the "User" profile/account ?
The Custom.Dic is only going to retain/save those words that aren't in
the built-in dictionary. Maybe I don't follow your issue, are you saying
that you've built up a Custom.Dic of words and that those are no longer
found ? ( only the 4 "Dummy" words ).

What happens if you click Tools, Options, Spelling (TAB) - "Edit
Custom Dictionary".

I read the artical But In my case ...

I do have the CSAPI3T1.DLL file on :

C:\Program File\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof

For that reason spelling is working fine on office application !!!

Am I wrong ???

Thunderbird corrects spelling as you type. OE doesn't. Thunderbird has
spam control. OE doesn't. Thunderbird is easy to back up. OE isn't. OE's
messages -- all of them -- can be nuked if you're compacting messages
and have a power failure. Thunderbird doesn't have this problem. OE is
no longer supported by Microsoft (not that they really ever did support
it) and Thunderbird will continue to have support and be further developed.

Your choice, BoazBoaz.

Like what?

Not if you want a junk mail filter feature. Not if you want your
spelling to be corrected while you write. Not if you don't want to run
the risk of losing all your messages if you have a power failure on the
100th time you close OE. Not if you want an easy way to back up and restore.

But Thunderbird is not a Microsoft product. It must, therefore, be dirt
(maybe mud).
