Outline-making freeware?

The first line of each topic is indented properly, but subsequent lines are
aligned with the left margin in my text editor. It doesn't include the
outline numbering either. Is there something specific you are trying to
accomplish by porting the outline to a text editor?

I want the result to be compatible with, or at least easily
convertible to, the standard text file format.

Thanks for your information. Ecco sounds interesting enough so I will
download it.

Hi
sorry I might be a bit late on his topic, but this has been a very busy
crimbo ;).
I've used Quickplot for some time now it's very like the old dos based
outliners
as far as simplicity.... check it out.

1. Keynote
2. Freemind
3. Treepad

Thanks, Daniel and Keith, for replying. Out of these programs, I do like
Treepad the best, and I'm keeping it. But what I really was looking for
was something that makes actual outlines, like:

I. Nintendo
A. Gamecube
1. Super Mario (Bros.)
a. Super Mario Sunshine
b. Super Smash Bros. Melee
2. The Legend of Zelda
a. The Wind Waker
B. Nintendo 64
1. Out of ideas
a. Another sub-level
(1) Like this, see?

Ideally, it'd be pretty configurable, too. (You know, like customizable
indention or number levels.) Anything like \this\ out there? <:-)

Thanks much. I'll check it out.

Agreed. Thanks much!

There is a problem with this program.
It starts the installation with "Searching for installed components"
and it doesn't get any further, it locks up.

I have tried both the 32bit 6.72 MB and the 16bit version 5.91 MB,
none of them get any further than that.

Actually, it isn't hung ... its thinking. <g>
Seriously, I installed it on my XP box and cancelled the install twice
because it looked like it was hung up. I tried one last time and let it
cook overnight. The next morning it was installed.

Also, I just installed on my daughter's new notebook and it installed so
fast that I thought it didn't run.

It will install and it runs great.

Thanks, I'll give it time.

Sounds like a red flag ...

It hasn't created any problems for me, or for any of the folks I've set it
up for. It hasn't created any instabilities in my system, and made no
attempts to access the internet.

Are you logged into your computer with Admin provledges? Ecco since it

I use win98 and I am the only user, so there should be no problem for Ecco
install to access windows directory.

I have not had time to let it cook as suggested by Keith.
I have to remember to start the install when I go to sleep, and I am often
too tired to remember such things then :-)
